My mom has raised 7 children (plus my dad). She makes the best pie, the best biscuits (besides Grandma), the best pot roast, stir fry and spaghetti. She can sew and crochet and do all kinds of needlework. She can play the piano and she sings in the choir. She's an excellent writer.
She's had jobs ranging from writer and editor to lactation consultant to nutrition expert to preschool teacher to midwife's assistant to working with the court system and many other things in between. She can do anything! She is the most caring and thoughtful friend, and a great daughter, sister and mother to her family.
She will stand-up for what she believes in. She's an activist for many causes. She has pretty fingernails and smells like vanilla. She's very smart. She taught me to love reading, to sew my first little pillow for my doll, how to make a great pie crust, that chocolate can be your best friend at a certain time of the month and how to love babies. She's taught me so much of what I know -- so many of the most important parts of who I am.
Thank you mom, for everything you do for me and for the family. You are sorely under-thanked for all we put you through. I love you so much. I really hope you have a nice day today!
I don't know how it's possible that these are the only photos I have of my mother and I together when I was little. More exist of course, I just don't have them. I need to do something about that.
I hope all you mamas get to have a restful and nice day today. John has something up his sleeve but I have no idea what it is. I'll let you know later. :)

Suzy: Yep that's me! I think William looks a lot like me in those first two pictures. I hadn't compared them before, but I think we have the same face shape! It's so weird to see your self in someone else!
Oh, Cara, that is so sweet:-). You are and always have been a fabulous daughter, and I have learned a lot from you!
BTW, there aren't many pictures of us together...or of me with any of my little kids....I was usually the one taking the pictures, haha.

Hey, that middle picture really does look like William! That's another outfit I made for you from recycled/reused materials. Before it was a little jumper, it was big jeans from Grandpa W. I felt so smart when I made your cute outfits almost for free.
