I Am The Walrus

I made this stuffed Walrus in 7th grade in home-ec. But never actually completed him (I wonder what kind of grade I got?). He was missing his moustache and the stuffing hole wasn't sewn closed. He's been sitting around in various storage boxes in various storage facilities for these 15 years.

Until today. It took approximately 6 minutes to cut out a new moustache, applique it on, and sew the hole closed. A procrastination world record maybe?

William loves him. The Walrus sits on his bed, in all his mustachioed stateliness.

I love it! And he's still very cool and fashionable looking. I think it's hilarious that you have a sewing hobby now but couldn't finish your home ec school work.

That is the coolest walrus ever and that picture of William with him is so awesome. Love it!

I was actually just wondering if Home-ec was offered in schools anymore??
I always remember the teachers being super old like they were ready to croak at any moment! ha!

cute! I just found my old walrus you made for me back in high school or middle school or something, when we moved. He's in need of a few repairs, that I will probably procrastinate for a few years! Makayla loves him though!!

LOL. I love that you couldn't finish the under 10 minute tasks to have the walrus done. But if you HAD finished it back then William wouldn't have a "brand new" walrus now :)

What a great walrus. He's definitely cooler than the purple creature I remember making in Home Ec.

I still sleep in the pajama shorts I made in 7th grade home-ec. Perhaps I'll pass them down to my child one day. Has William bitten the eggplant candle yet?
