Granny

John has the fancy camera with him at an out-of-town shoot so I'm left with the PowerShot. Adorable kid though, right?

Here's a peak at another blanket I'm crocheting. It's just one big granny square and I love it. I had tried granny squares several years ago and they were always failures but somehow it clicked this time -- yay! This pattern and yarn are both Vanna again, and I can't get over how cute the colors are. I think I'm about half-way done and then I've got to figure out which of the five babies due in the next few months to give it to. Please tell me, does it look unisex? Or does the purple make it too girly? Hmm...

Adorable blanket! My mom used to make these back in the day...I've tried and tried crocheting but it just seems so hard! That's why I just stick to knitting :)

My opinion is that is it pretty unisex. :) Very cute!

Will is adorable with any camera.

Yeah, I think that blankie works for a boy or a girl - very, very cute.

One of my favorite Quincy blankets was purple and green. Loves those colors. I'm so glad you are back to blogging. I missed you!

Is this pattern inspired by the purlbee? Because I've totally considered adding this blanket to my workpile, maybe just all in one color, lol!

It's totally cute.

I didn't see this on the purlbee -- but I love everything on that blog!

You should totally make one -- so easy!

And one color means you don't have to weave in 1500 ends. Maybe just like, 4. And that's a lot less than 1500.

Melissa -- it's so funny you say that crochet seems so hard. I guess it depends on which you learn first because I was so scared of knitting for a long time! Now I can knit pretty well, but crochet still seems like the easy one. :D
