I Am SO Over Summer

It's hot. Like, the kind of hot that makes you crazy. The kind of hot that makes you want to kill someone. And take all your clothes off. And lay on the floor moaning.

It occurred to me that for the last 8 years, since I became a working woman and not a schoolgirl, I have spent every summer in the arctic tundra of an office or other indoor working environment. Every summer for the past 8 years I've taken a sweater to work with me even though it was 106 degrees outside. Thinking about that blasting of icy air almost makes me wish I were still working in an office. Almost. ;)

So, finally, I've completed the last two scalloped-edge baby blankets. Woohoo!

Okay, the baby and I are going in the pool now to try to restore some sanity. We're both going a little nuts.

Stay cool, kids.

Those blankets are adorable! You're getting so good at that!

Yeah, it's starting to get super hot down here, too. It's been raining a bit though, so it's breaking up the monotony of the dead heat. No person should live without a swimming pool of some sort!

I think that little owl fabric is the best stuff I've seen today.

I am sorry it is so, so hot!
You are so great at sewing! I wish I could sew so that I could make this baby a blessing dress out of my wedding dress... I think I will just buy a blessing dress instead. Maybe I should take a class. I love seeing all of your projects!

I'm tooooo jealous! Our central heating came on automatically the other night it got so chilly! It's hard to imagine weather that is too hot when you live in the UK!

Don't ever wish yourself back into an office! It's so hot that our A.C. at work isn't even helping. The lowest we were able to get it to go to yesterday was 85!

And that last fabric is to die for! Where is it from?

Least the baby likes the pool! I can't drag John out there for the life of me... I don't know what his issue is, but I'm dying to jump into the crystal blue water every day after work!

or you could try and English summer days on end of five minutes of sunshine followed by clouds chilling you to the bone then one hot saturday morning where everyone goes crazy buying barbeque stuff and driving for 3 hours to the coast to find its all gone a bit chilly again by 2! I wish I was hot enough to need a pool!
