I am so thankful that as I was growing up I had a mother who enjoyed doing needlework. She taught me the basics when I was quite young and it's something I've continued to do ever since. To me, needlework is like meditation. It helps me feel calm and collected and gives me the time and concentration to really think deeply about all kinds of things. I don't know what I would do without it!

I Am Thankful For...
...my baby sister!

I know this is almost the same as yesterday's, but today is my baby sister Alexa's 17th birthday. So today had to be about her!!

Lex is one of my best best friends. We have so much fun together! Plus, she is a super aunt to William.

I'm so so grateful that even though we are 12 years apart in age we are still buddies. I love you, Lexy!

November is For Being Thankful
I figure this daily posting with a theme is good for something, so I'm going to continue for the month of November with a post about things I'm thankful for.
First up, my siblings! I love them dearly and can't wait to see them all in just 9 days. I get to spend two weeks in Utah for Thanksgiving and hanging out with these kids is going to be the best ever. I'm so thankful that all of us are friends -- even through all of our differences. Our warped sense of humor binds us together and we always have an amazing time. I'm so excited!
